There's nothing technical about economics. It's all theory and smoke and mirrors.

If you had something technical to apply, you'd call it finance.

Also, Economics is a social science, not a real science. If your school gave a BSc for economics, they clearly don't know the basics of the field to begin with. Social sciences were invented so people like Ben Kenobi can drop out of a real science degree and instead take something easy and still get a degree.
