Illegal Immigrant Accused of Sexually Assaulting At Least 9 Girls Under 8 in New Jersey

An illegal immigrant in New Jersey reportedly has been charged with sexually assaulting nine girls under the age of 8 — and prosecutors fear there could be more victims.
Cirilo Cholula, 18, faces nine counts of child endangerment and aggravated sexual assault against girls ranging in age from 4 to 7 years old, The Star-Ledger reported.
Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford told The Star-Ledger that authorities began investigating Cholula after parents of one alleged victim told police they suspected he had molested the young girl.
The illegal Mexican immigrant, who the prosecutor’s office said knew all the alleged victims, was arrested Tuesday night and was being held on $1 million bail, according to the paper.
Ford believes more victims could be out there and asked parents to notify authorities if they think their children may have had inappropriate contact with Cholula.

There may be some selection effects (illegal immigrants who commit other crimes in the US are preferentially deported) along with some underreporting of crimes committed by illegals against other illegals, so it's not as strong a statement as you might think, but in general illegal immigrants are not a major source of criminality (again, outside of immigration related crimes) in the US...12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

Perhaps you don't understand quite how high the incarceration rate is among young black men...12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

While it is true that there is still racism among whites, and that the racism is still a problem, the problem of high incarceration rate among young black men is mostly an african-american culture problem, I think.

Man accused of burning woman may be in Mexico

A man accused of setting his girlfriend on fire because he was angry she would not answer her phone has probably fled to Mexico, Houston police said Thursday.
Several witnesses have told authorities that Uriel Vargas Alvarado, 25, who is charged with aggravated assault in the attack, is no longer in the country, said Houston Police Department homicide investigator Roger Chappell.
Doctors treating Alvarado’s girlfriend, Juana Patricia DeLeon Hernandez, 33, have estimated she has less than a 20 percent chance of survival, court records show. She suffered fourth-degree burns to 70 percent of her body, including deep burns to her upper abdomen, after she was doused with gasoline and set ablaze.
She is in critical condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital’s Burn Center, where she is fully bandaged and sedated. Her parents and sister have been at her side, Chappell said.
“I went to see her (Wednesday), and when I walked in there, to be honest with you, my heart broke,” Chappell said. “To see somebody in that kind of condition, it’s gut-wrenching. That’s no way for a person to have to live or die.”
DeLeon Hernandez has few injuries to her face, but she suffered severe burns from her neck down to her pelvic region, Chappell said.
Phone calls examined
The single mother of two boys was injured at 11:35 p.m. Sunday, police said, when she answered Alvarado’s knock at her door at the Villa Acapulco Apartments at 9700 Braeburn Glen.
Arson investigators discovered DeLeon Hernandez had received 14 calls on her cell phone from Alvarado’s cell phone in the three hours leading up to the attack, court records show, but received no phone calls from him after the attack.
Neighbors who tried to help DeLeon Hernandez by smothering the flames heard her say, “Uriel, my boyfriend, burned me because I didn’t answer the phone, and he’s jealous,” court records show.
A witness told police she had seen Alvarado accompany DeLeon Hernandez many times around the apartment complex and identified a photograph of Alvarado as the boyfriend, records show.
The couple had dated for at least three months, Chappell said. Alvarado did not live at the apartment complex but bounced around among various addresses. He did paint work on area roadways.
Federal immigration officials have said they suspect Alvarado was not in the United States legally but know little else about his background. He has never before been arrested in Harris County, so police don’t have his fingerprints on file.
