My father arrived on D+1. Either Sword or Gold... I can't recall. His ship had been torpedoed and they had to beach her. Full of tank ammo. Somehow, the dive bombers, several of which scored hits, didn't set it off. Just think, if they had, you all would've been deprived of my wit & wisdom.
