In the first 1/4 of this year, out of EU members, only Poland and Cyprus experienced economic growth. Polish economy grew by 1.8% according to Eurostat, and 0,8 according to polish GUS.
It is especially suprising if you compare Poland with its neighbours, the other countries of Central/Eastern Europe. German economy shrank by 7%, Latvian by 18%, Estonian by 15%. I won't even mention Ukraine.
Of course, it's not a rosegarden, but yet, the crisis is harming Poland much less than all the other countries around, and while problems with export contributed to problems of many polish companies, Poland didn't fall into recession
yet.
