Norway has oil, and I guess that's why we are better off today than when the so called (here) crisis came.
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10

You are selling OUR oil - renegades
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

If Scandinavia was a family, Norway would be the retarded younger brother that everyone smiles and nods at when he talks.

If Scandinavia was a family, it would be like this:

Sweden would be the cocky, older brother who thinks everything is about him.
Denmark would be the jovial brother which everybody except Sweden likes.
Norway would be the younger, nerdy brother who is more than a fair bit naive, but who still always comes up on top. He also somehow always has candies left when his brothers have eater theirs.

Actually, Iceland, Greenland and other islands with oil near them historically belonged to the Norwegian crown. Be glad Sweden and GB was stupid enough to believe you back in 1814.

It seems like American lets everyone in, but other countries don't let americans in

The US has the most restrictive immigration laws in the English-speaking developed world, outside of possibly New Zealand.

Nah, I blame Chr. II for this mess - he was way too mercifull

Sadly, it's true. I have looked into immigrating to America just for the hell of it, but even with my skills, it's a major chore, which I can't be assed to do.

New Zealand can afford to be picky.

You don't have any skills. And there is absolutely no way for you to immigrate to the US without standing in line with a bunch of Indians for a H1-B

In the last few weeks Australia have signed massive new trade deals with China, India, Japan and South Korea to supply natural gas. Massive new investment in Natural Gas fields will begin very soon amounting to major new stimulus to the australian economy. It all looks great for the future.

hmm, I guess I'm just naive. When I see the population of my city is over 25% hispanic. I hate to believe ALL of them come from illegal immigrants. But I suppose it's true.

Development is faster with cheap labour, look at China, India, Dubai.... You should be thankful you have an overwhelming population of Hispanics willing to build your country for a few dollars.

New Zealand was first (or first western country?) to open free trade agreement with China. Australia, stealing our ideas as usual, soon followed suit.
