Last winter, mice moved into my home from the fields, and I had to remove them with snap traps. It was unpleasent for me, and very unpleasent for the mice. This will be an annual occurance, and I was really not looking forward to the seasonal death-dealing.
Fortunately, that's no longer a problem, as I have discovered that a cute little guy that eats mice has taken up residence.
That's right, a snake! I walked down into the basement just in time to see him slither into the joist space between the finished room and the basement wall. Gorgeous jet black with that polished leather sheen, must be at least a yard long.
I'm guessing it's a rat snake.
