Let's not forget that he cheated on her long before the election. The stories surfaced in autumn 2007. At the time, she had already been diagnosed with the recurrence of her breast cancer, this time a metastasized Stage IV, having spread from her breast into the hard tissue of the ribs -- considered incurable but treatable. At that time, Mrs. Edwards was still looking campaign-ready.
