Pretty damn expensive, last I saw.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

        I'll bet you are.

I was pretty sure you'd be the one to point that out. You seem to stalk my posts looking for potential innuendo...

Some of the computation possibilities are sophisticated. Here's a simple computation comparing US federal government spending (current expenditures) in relation to GDP.

Wolfram|Alpha brings expert-level knowledge and capabilities to the broadest possible range of people—spanning all professions and education levels.

                Shiny graph.

I'm starting to learn better how the engine interprets my requests in order to make my questions more sophisticated.

Here's a summation of the economic output for the 37 countries in North America.

                    What a silly underestimate.

It's interesting how they must have arrived at this computation. See the Average Population Growth History section.

Roughly half a year old. Tried once in FF and once in Chrome. For all I know, it was just a hitch that day, the thing is in alpha after all, but it didn't look promising.

EDIT: Tried now. Of course, now that I've complained, it works just fine. Just like going to the doctor.(

British scientist Stephen Wolfram recently launched one of the most ambitious projects in the history of the web: Wolfram Alpha, a site which aims to condense all human knowledge into some kind of a thing that you can talk to with your computer. To help you understand this new technology, we've delved into the thing for some first impressions.

seems kind of worthless to me . But I don't get how it works. All I get is a definition. I could get that from a dictionary...

I checked out "granite" and it told me it was ceramic. IT'S NOT!

Do you know how to get it to restrict those plots to a certain time range?
