Sports and Technology Forums Discussion.

The new administration has decided to hold a vote to see if the Sports and Technology forums should be maintained or merged back into the general Off Topic. There will be a one week discussion (May 18 - May 24) during which members can campaign for their point of view, and then a new thread with a poll that will be open for one week (May 25 - May 31) to decide the issue.

Discussion should be kept to this thread, which I've also copied to the Sports and Technology forums. The voting thread, however, will only be posted in the Off Topic.

The options for the poll will be:

1. Keep both the Sports and Technology forums.
2. Keep only the Sports forum.
3. Keep only the Technology forum.
4. Merge both forums back into the Off Topic.
5. Create a new banana sub-forum.

1. Im not sure if it is a problem having a subforum with minimal traffic, but it is nice to be able to go to the Tech forum and post a question and hopefully have it addressed

(Asher and Snoopy369 have allways been a great assistance!)

The Sports Forum where we can have a fairly regimented area about strictly sports and not having other subjects flooding between the specific threads.

Why is this question the only one to be decided by a vote? It's stupid. Just look at the traffic patterns and do what makes sense. But WTF, I'll play.

The sports forum is active, and fantasy sports drafts need to be kept on top for efficiency. The tech forum is a dead zone, with little traffic. When I have a tech question, I'm more likely to get an answer in the OTF (albeit with a healthy dose of spam).

Actually... the real vote should be on whether the sports forum should become an On Topic forum... It's as much on topic as the other games forum. Sports is a GAME... and many people are participating in contests and fantasy leagues. And it sure has more traffic than many of the current on topic forums.

But sure... go ahead and kill one of your traffic generators... not a smart move.
