AC died on Memorial Day (Monday). Called landlord yesterday while I was at work, someone came in while I was still gone and fixed it.
Fast forward to an hour ago, get a call from wife (she's in DC on a fellowship), she got an email from Bank of America notifying her of $350 in fraudulent activity on one of our credit cards locally (gas station, walgreens, and a supermarket, indicating a physical card and not just a number), these charges were incurred today (Wednesday). This is a card that has been inactive for over a year and was we believe in a desk drawer with other cards.
Thankfully, nothing else is missing, surprisingly, and I've checked the other accounts, and will monitor.
I will chat with an investigator this week at my office-I prosecute much higher level fraud cases-and see what they say, likely nothing, but then I will have performed my husbandly duties.Comment
