How about some critical thinking about that payment. That National Review article is a good one.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I don't understand the hoopla with Twitter. You post brief notes on what you're doing at the moment.

I blew all 450,000 reasons out of the water with my post reply to DD.

This is kind of our reaction to your posts. But Twitter is actually entertaining.

How can you not like Twitter, MrFun? It's hard to imagine a gayer-sounding name than "Twitter." Except something explicit, like, say, "man-love messaging." It's a sign of the progress made by the gay-rights movement that millions of straight people participate in something that sounds like something two dudes do with a feather and a string of beads in a Las Vegas motel room.

Now, I don't Twitter myself, because like you said, it sounds really stupid. I don't think I have any stalkers out there who really want to know what I'm doing 24/7, but if I do, they can do their own detective work, dammit.

Weakland was a terrible man. He didn't just take money from the archdiocese to pay off his ex-lover, but he shuffled around abusive priests and helped cover up their crimes.
                John Brown did nothing wrong.
