  • Picky Eaters.

So are there any seriously picky eaters on here? There are certain things that I don't like but when I am at someone's house I will eat most anything that they serve. My ex and the kids are some of the pickiest eaters I've ever seen. When going to a restaurant or drive through it's like torture trying to get all the orders out with the "don't want that on it" My girlfriend is the same freaking way. Don't want lettuce or tomatoes.

And what is this thing about not wanting food to touch? I mean somethings are best left separate but snarling the nose when the least little thing is out of place.

Lets hear some of your Picky Food stories.

I will not, under any circumstances, eat seafood.

I won't harldy eat anything, compared to many people.

Your ex & kids are weird

I'm a vegetarian, but besides meat and fish literally anything goes.

Not wanting food to touch is a little obsessive.

To give credit to my son he is slowly getting out of the habit of it but anything new is torture to get them to try.

I've never been crazy about most seafood. Ill pick around it but left to my own devices, I won't go the seafood route. Around here, everyone loves crawfish. I can't stomach the stuff. Gator is good though

                  I use to be pickier.

My ex hated mayonnaise and mustard. She also couldn't eat cheese unless it was melted mozzarella.

I, OTOH, am not picky at all and generally enjoy all sorts of food.

I don't know if it can be called picky, but I don't eat cheese since it make my stomach go crazy.

Though, when it comes to lutfisk or Surströmming, then I'm picky - the smell is simply awful.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Hmmm, there's nothing I won't eat per se.

There's stuff I physically can't eat - e.g. hot and spicy stuff. I like the taste, just cannot handle the heat! But then, when I was young, ordinary black pepper was the equivalent to jalapenos and such - now I can just about manage anything that is ordinarily termed 'medium'...

Otherwise, Okra I don't like the slimy texture but love the taste; beetroot can be too earthy; and Brussels Sprouts are like a masochistic rite of passage...
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

One of my sisters is a "food must not touch" type. I have mocked her through the decades on this topic.

Me? The only thing I'm picky about is that food be fresh and well prepared. I love few things more than trying a new dish, finding a new flavor combination.
