My brother and I sampled this at the latest Toronto whisky show (whilst we chatted with the master distiller for half an hour...) and it was amazing.

Only 266 bottles of it are available. This is bottle #84.
I don't like Tullibardine. Might be different from 1966 than the 1993 I've had though.

        That's my problem - I don't know

It's bought in a shop where they tap small portions on a std bottle and then put a handwritten label on, and all it says are "16 yo highland vatted malt"

EDIT: Never mind, it's like a needle in a haystack.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

The 1993 is average, I've had a bottle of that. The 1966 is awesome, though.

I find it far too sweet. My wife likes it, but I call it her "dessert whisky"

It is glorious. I'm used to the LCBO's painful selection in Ontario, so when I come back home it's amazing. Some of these stores have 300 different single malts available. The LCBO has maybe 6-8.

And as discussed in another thread, they're much cheaper. I bought an Oban 14-year old last night for $65 -- it's $115 plus 8% PST in Ontario.

I don't mind the sweetness. How can you drink Bourbon if you find Tullibarine sweet?

Speaking of sweetness, I had Port for the first time last night also. It's like icewine, but good...

I don't know. It's the combination of sweetness plus distinctive single malt taste that just doesn't go well together. We still have half a bottle on the shelf. I might give it another chance, but I really remember not liking it the last time I had some (6 months ago)

Eiswein is a bit too sweet for me, but I do like Port and Sherry.

Whisky still sucks, even with an umbrella, kinda like hockey.

Fine port is another awesome area to explore. I got sucked in on a Montreux trip about 10 years ago and got my wife hooked. Bought her a nice 20-y.o. Graham's tawny for Christmas.

(Actually, I don't mind whisky, so long as it's mixed 1 part Jameson to 3 parts ginger beer. Or mixed with sour mix. Or in a Irish car bomb.)

(And, actually, I don't mind hockey. Clearly, if I'm to have more lulz at Asher's expense, I'll have to find something else to unintentionally needle him about.)

Team Canada's little boys play Team USA's little boys (World Juniors). Watch it tomorrow and drink whisky. Be a man for once, Q^3.

Should I be rooting for one team or another? I probably won't watch it, and I probably won't have whisky.

Pretty sure I'm still a man, honey.

How much Vons brand filtered whiskey can I drink before I pass out? Or will Lori ban me first?
