I have some kittens if you want them. Buy one for nothing, get one for free.

Do you shoot holes in the box before or after putting them in?

I guess I could go ahead and do it before.

NYE - chocolate is definitely toxic to cats (and dogs as well). Dark chocolate is way worse than Milk chocolate. According to the chart on the wall in our local vet's office, it would take ~10 lbs of milk chocolate to kill one of our labs. It would take ~1lb of dark chocolate. Something like that.

That's all I've got for ya, since I'm a dog owner.

                  Indoor/outdoor cats I presume?

If she's an inside cat then she might just be bored.

If I'm not mistaken NYE thinks keeping cats strictly indoors isn't right.

                        True.

They have been out a bit. They will get out more as they grow up. The male is already large enough and smart enough to do well. The female is quite small still. I'm a bit worried about her.

I know it's a risk, but the boy is already crying pathetically to go out more.

They were born on a farm. For the first many weeks of their lives they had what amounted to an open door from a part of the house where the cats that are allowed in live.

I knew that emotional loss for me was a possibility before I decided to bring them to live with me in the city.

I am somewhat mollified though by how happy they are when they get out.
And I only let them out when I am around, so far.

One of the alkaloids present in chocolate actually causes kidney failure in cats.

As far as the grass goes, you can find the kind that's safe to eat at a PetSmart or Petco or the like.

                                Is lettuce OK for them?

Maybe if I give her some on a regular basis, she will leave the aloe alone.
