Apolyton's very own New OT Order

Use this thread for conspiracy theories regarding the secret cabal that controls ACS.



My pet theories:

1. The buyout was a setup by the apolyton's original power structure to unban Dale. This was done either because he threathened to use his mad haxor skills or because of lingering sympathies.


2. Apolyton is being taken over by a sinister secret cabal known as the Diplogamers. It is a den of ultimat wickedness. Some of the people involved enjoy writting tales of impalements and other brutal forms of torture (not to mention kinky sex and matricide). They are all powerhungry megalomaniacs, masters of maniuplation skilled at lurking in the shadows and manipulating events to unfold as they bid. They are like sharks in a small pool of water, they only cease to devour each other if fresh fish arrive. And now that they have spread their tentacles from beyond the MP subforum... well Poly is their oyster

Members of this secret group include: Rober "the Cybershy" Plomp, OzzyKP and ... well... me.

But ever since I left "Beyond the pit" I am considered an outsider and will most likley be eliminated.

It's actually a huge setup to increase site traffic and On Topic responses! How, you ask? Well the schizm- it never really happened!! After many secret meetings the admins/mods decided that the only way at this point to generate On Topic activity would be to create a whole new site, b/c to upgrade Poly to meet the standards they needed for mass MPing, dipgaming, etc., was not possible. But they needed to keep the posters so voila! Poly 2.0 is underway! Dragging people from every conceivable civ location across the planet they will get the ball rolling...

As for the OTF, the "drama" between Dale and Asher was a premeditated act, known in advance by both posters, who played their respective parts well. Now not a day gos by that ACS OTF isn't a wellspring of 'drama'... and what better to capture the attention of bored net travelers than a good flaming? Cybershy will be certain to add fuel to the fire if no other agent can do so, with random acts of overbearing moderation followed by light wrist slapping. Ming continues to rule from the shadows, not retired, but a power-mad dictator with supreme CONTROL! Many won't like it, but they won't be able to look away, until one day, when preparations are complete...

The truth is that we just decided to take over Apolyton first and that we would create a good conspiracy afterwards. So the real evil reason has no been decided yet.

It's not that hard to moderate the OT. Just set consistent rules and apply them impartially.
