Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila

I was visiting my mother last week. She has a calendar on her kitchen wall from the VFW. On it, May 1 is labeled "Loyalty Day" (either , , or , depending on your sensibilities). First time I'd ever heard of that, but apparently, it's real (the day, not the calendar -- although that was real too, unless you listen to Bishop Berkeley).

Anyway, a little history is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loyalty_Day

"May Day" is what commies scream as I run them over in my Tiger Tank.
