That lake is well above sea level, AFAIK. This means that changes in sea level due to melting ice are unlikely to affect Chicago.

To paraphrase the thread he's trying to refer to, I said that the correlation between US growth and Canadian growth was weaker in recent history than previously. He took this to mean not only that there was NO correlation, but that the proper way to measure correlations was to see if the Canadian economy entered a recession (which I was supposedly predicting would not happen). I called him an idiot.
