  • Goethe´s 'Faust' for free

So i was just reading ´About the Germans´ by Gordon A. Craig and as he talks about his first encounter with ´Faust´ i realize, i never read or saw it myself. So, what does the 21st century boy do? He googles ´Faust download´ and here we go - the complete thing (both parts) played out on stage, downloadable for free in HDTV-quality:

Nice. I hope I (and You as well) will enjoy it...

My German isn't what it used to be. Got an English version?
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Just to make sure we are not sharing insults on anyone or such: It´s probably a citation of the work at hand, and means:

´Freed from the ice are rivers and streams...´

You know, I was going through an ABAP book the other day and for some unknown reason it had a quote from Faust in there...the mind boggles...crazy Germans
                    Speaking of Erith:

"It's not twinned with anywhere, but it does have a suicide pact with Dagenham" - Linda Smith

After only 40 minutes, i had heard about 5 sentences, which became proverbial. And i like the theme, too - my thinking, kinda...

´Man errs as long as he strives (follows an ambition)´
