  • Moving to America

I'll have been in Singapore for 5 years in 2010, so it will be time to move to another country for me. (It's what I do).

I have been thinking of either Greece or Midwest America, in or around Idaho State.

After thinking about it more, I decided Greece will not be appropriate for me just yet.

I am particular about weather, I prefer long summers, but I also prefer temperate climate, conifers, rivers melted from snow, etc. I'm thinking of a quiet town, or even a quiet city. Wondering how easy it would be for me (a 15yr graphic designer) to move to one of these places. Easy to get a job? I just want to live there for about 5 years tops.

I have always pictured you as more of a Wyoming type.

A quick google image search on Wyoming, makes you absolutely 100% correct.

      Excusing the locals though.

They don't need graphic designers in Wyoming, they neen bronco busters.

If you do go to Wyoming to graphicly bust broncos be sure to check out Cody up in the mountains, take in a rodeo. Love that place. Though I've never lived closer than a thousand miles I've been there three times.

Edit: make that 4 times. First time with my parents when I was a kid.

Fly into Yellowstone airport and ask directions or I believe I took 20 up through the mountains...been a while. A young male horse that's never been riden, I think. They don't take to it well and try to throw the rider. They also do roping and tieing and general western show stuff.

                  1. Idaho and Wyoming aren't in the Midwest. They're in the West.

                  2. You'll get your ass kicked by the locals in the Idaho and Wyoming.

                  3. I'd move to California or somewhere else on the West Coast if I were you.

He's less likely to get his ass kicked in Nebraska, but not much.

Captain Kirk was from Iowa. He'd totally get his ass kicked by the locals in Nebraska, Wyoming and Idaho.
