Governor Rick Perry suggested Texans might get 'so fed up' they want to leave the union

I think it'd be cool if Texas left. I don't care either way, but it stirs the pot which is very, very boring right now in the world.

We kicked your asses when it was 23 to 11; how do you think you'd fare at 49-1?

Why the hell would we bother?

Just to show that we could. Texas' macho attitude is annoying.

                    Whoa, be fair.

Texan cuisine is more compelling than the Quebecois'.

Also, losing Texas wouldn't cleave our country in two.

Still, I'm thinking "Quebexas" has a ring to it.

Quebexas secession would mean the loss of two Republican senators (giving the Dems a filibuster-proof majority once Franken's seated) and a net loss of 8 GOP congressmen.

So my question is: guys, how can I help?

Maybe that Russian intelligence analyst was right about the US breaking up in the next couple of years.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

In what I can only guess was a warm up act to his hitting the Tea Party social circuit later today, Governor Rick Perry tilted at the biggest windmill of his political career yesterday.
