my wife generally doesn't go in for those types, at least those that are quite so ... extreme in their appearance as much as i do. i generally have to defer to her judgment, as we all know my moral standing is lying down.I wasn't born with enough middle fingers.

wiki says this:
To ride a high horse is to take oneself very seriously, and to consider oneself wiser or better than everyone else. To get off your high horse means to stop acting superior.
While horses were common, not everyone could afford them, also in the military officers rode horses while lower ranked soldiers walked. I'm guessing, but I'd say that the phrase refers to people who act like they are special/higher ranked than the speaker thinks they should are.
In medieval times, knights (nobility) rode horses while peasants (commoners) did not. So the knights could literally look down upon the common folk, considering them to be inferior and therefore beneath their notice. The sentiment survives today in the expression 'on a high horse', meaning those who think they're better than the people around them: more devout or pious, less likely to be dishonest, always in the right (or at least, in the wrong far less often). The reality is that very few people are that saintly; and the ones that are usually have a healthy dose of humility to keep them grounded. So, to tell someone to get off their moral high horse is a not-so-polite way of reminding them that they're really no better than the rest of us, no matter how much they might want to believe otherwise.

Why you chose to have an argument with me in the first place astonishes me but to try and lower me to argument on your level is ridiculous in the extreme! We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

Your problem is you hide behind the vocabulary. Your posts are empty, your words are hollow, and your haughty attitude is annoying.
I don't know why you seem to imply it's ridiculous for me to enter an argument with you, because I am demolishing you right now while all you can do is emulate the most pompous British caricature one could fathom.
For what it's worth, the censored word was "t w a t", which is a British term if I'm not mistaken.
MY WORD!

Edit: The fact that you've no understanding of the subject matter is completely meaningless to you. You're used to forming condescending and vacuous essays, aren't you? What kind of arts did you study in university? I'm going to bet it was philosophy or English. STFU dude.
Please do not resort to the utterly banal! The 'dynamics of this site'? What on earth are the dynamics of this Forum is the true question. This site is based on Civ and Civ related Games, very simple, whereas this Forum is based upon some form of perverse belief that attempting to humiliate someone publically is a laudable thing.
Off Topic, I would have imagined, would have consisted of reasoned and informed debate upon matters of interest rather than merely hurling abuse at each other.
'STFU' is no less a resort to insult than copious ****'s and does you no more credit.“Quid latine dictum sit, altum videtur”
