No, that was the British Army very specifically and not anything Canadian.

To say Canada is part of the British Empire is not to say the British Empire is Canada.

Canada didn't exist in 1783, so it's not possible.

Know your history. 1867 is the year Canada became Canada.

Because you are both American and demonstrably know nothing, here's a lazy link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Confederation

Canadians sure do love to claim they burned down the White House though.

At the very least, those were soldiers stationed in what is now known as Canada.

This is very different from, say, landing from a fleet of British ships in New Orleans (che...)

Canada loves you for that, so there's no point bragging about it.

That's all well and good, but then Canada has never fought a war to lose, meaningfully. They were nice and helpful in WWII (and WWI, I presume?) and even Afghanistan, but in none of those conflicts were they the primary combatant, or anywhere close to it.

And if you're going to claim anything about burning down the white house, then you lost 1783 just as much ... "British soldiers stationed in Canada" were part and parcel of losing that war, after all.

Canada lost more people per capita in WW2 than the USA. So you can kindly **** off with your belittling of the effort there. We also had U-Boats sinking our ships off the coast.

We have sunken u-boats off our coast as well as their victims.

Yet if you asked historians without which country's participation would the Allies have lost WWII, the list would be something like:

                                US
                                Britain
                                USSR
                                China
                                Canada

Perhaps fourth, at best, probably fifth. Certainly helpful, and they certainly were a major element of the victory, but I think saying "We never lost a war" based on that single participation in a war where you were not in the top 3 combatants, is rather weak.
