PHOENIX -- A bobcat attacked three people in central Arizona, police said.At least two people were injured in the fray at the Chaparral Bar, according to Cottonwood police Sgt. Gary Eisenga. One man was bitten, while the other man hurt his calf; however, police aren't sure what caused the second man's injuries.When officers arrived, the bobcat was outside, and it aggressively approached them, Eisenga said. One of the officers shot and killed the bobcat.Police believe this bobcat is the same one that attacked a woman after she hit it with her car, he said. The animal also scared an employee in the parking lot of a local Pizza Hut.
Animal control personnel brought the bobcat's body to the Health Department's office in Phoenix, where it tested positive for rabies, police said."My understanding is that they have notified the victims," Eisenga said.According to Eisenga, it's unusual for a bobcat -- or any animal -- to walk into a business."I've not heard of it happening here before, where a bobcat just continually attacked people," he said.
