WTF is the juicebox mafia?
Google is your friend...
Much internet attention has been given to the “Juicebox Mafia”, a group of very young, Jewish, liberal bloggers who have been sharply critical of Israel, especially in the wake of the recent Gaza incursion. The terms Juicebox Mafia was coined and popularized by ideological opponents of the group (Noah Pollack in Commentary, Marty Peretz in the New Republic); but like the terms “Tory” and “queer”, it’s an insult which fast became a badge of honor. The core of the Juicebox Mafia would include Matthew Yglesias, Spencer Ackerman, Ezra Klein and Dana Goldstein.

Possible. I think I've read one or two columns by Yglesias, and probably none by any of the others. I've read at least 10-20 by Klein.
To be fair, he's 26 years old, and I remember reading some of his columns back when he was ~23. Either way, he writes better analysis than I could have managed at those ages. But his thinking is shallower, IMO, than my current thinking.
He's not as bad as some opinion columnists, but he also occasionally demonstrates some profound intellectual dishonesty.12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

I read Yglesias' blog most days, so I'm quite familiar with his intellectual deficiencies; he's a Harvard filosofy major and it shows. My main exposure to Klein and Ackerman comes from the frequent links to their pieces by Yglesias, which have led me to believe that Klein is somewhat more insightful that Yglesias and Ackerman somewhat less.
Is he published in the Washington Post?

He's one of the more influential left-leaning bloggers.
So what if he's "influential"? What do you do that necessitates speaking their language?

So what if he's "influential"?
Why would I want to read a non-influential blog? Reading Yglesias' blog is good way to keep abreast of the stories the left-leaning blogosphere is buzzing about.
Who does he influence? Obama?

I was more getting at why anyone would feel the need to read a left-leaning blog, or BS political blogs in general. Other than for D.E.N.N.I.S.-ing purposes I just don't see any practical use for that knowledge.
