Don't feel bad for Cramer. He's a snake and a manipulator; always has been.

If anything, you should feel sad that the rest of the insider-trading industry is getting a pass while Cramer takes the heat.

BTW, Cramer was supposed to be on Morning Joe today and cancelled.

It would have been nice to see Cramer put up a fight, but I guess it at least shows character that he seemed to recognize what he'd done wrong.

Wait, how did that happen, I don't think I was watching back then?

I disagree; that was a freaking public service.

I always enjoyed Crossfire as a place where informed people from two different POVs could debate. Or do you think it was better for CNN to fill the spot with angry Lou Dobbs against the furriners or Glenn Beck?

Hmm, if that's true, Cramer is quite the scumbag.

Stewart's lectures are pablum for the uninformed. This one was particularly bad, as hindsight bias was on full display and the target of his hectoring wasn't anywhere near the center of the crisis.

Cramer took the bait and went on a media tour (primarily NBC outlets). He will probably get a slight, if temporary, viewership boost out of the deal. Viewership of the Daily Show videos was already over 100K each by this morning. Everyone wins.

At least Jon Stewart is straight up in saying he's not an expert, that he's just pissed. And yes, his audience is fairly uninformed (since many use him as a primary news source). It's a comedy show, ferchrissakes.

There was a study not too long ago that showed the average viewer of the Daily Show and Colbert were more informed than Fox News and CNN viewers, IIRC.

                          That's not saying much.

Average viewer age isn't included and plays a role.

I don't think many shows of that format have survived regardless

I just watched Yesterday's Daily Show. Stewart seem genuinely irate, and found some weasely clips to confront Cramer with.
