  • Smelly Armpits

I've noticed that through my twenties my armpits have gotten steadily stinkier.

I take a shower every morning, but by the time I go home I reek, unless I reapply deodorant through the day. Is there any other solution to my stinky armpits problem?

    kthxbye

Shave your pits. Less hair equals less smell.

The odor is influenced by what you eat. So is the odor of your rectum output. The Indians have all kinds of remedies and thinking on this subject. Apparrently such odors represent a spiritual concern in Hinduism and to a lesser extent, Buddhism. Not up on the latest but a person I used to work with said a lot of this is on the web.

I am so amused by a physisist asking for advice about something so obvious. Did you not take introductory biology as part of your copious amounts of academic jackery? How about a shower? Facts are facts: armpits sweat due to bacteria that develops on them, and the best way to get rid of bacteria is by applying water to it because bacteria cannot live in water, cf. a SHOWER. The second way to get rid of the bacteria is to take antibiotics, though this will only work if the smell is coming from inside your body, which would mean you would have had to eat extremely potent garlic sandwiches for a prolonged period of time. I don't know about you, but where I work, I take showers during the day because I admire a clean body, even if it is my own.

                  Shower twice a day...
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

You have already stated the solution: reapply deodorant during the day. Can't be too much of a problem imo

I usually do, but unless you want me to drive home to take a shower at noon I don't see how this is relevant to my problem.

You jest, but I noticed a significant uptick after I started lifting. I'm wondering if I shifted my hormone balance.

No. Just accept that there are some burdens men like you and I must bear, but more feminine men are able to avoid. Wear your stench as the mark of pride that it should rightly be.

EDIT: Okay, seeing you worry aloud, as it were, about your hormone balance has me questioning my assessment.

I've never been a very stinky person. Maybe I'm not manly enough to be stinky, I'm not sure.

There's this old guy at the gym, who is like huge. He has to take steroids or something to be that huge. That guys stinks up a storm. I hate it when he's working out next to me. yuck. Not sure what that guy eats or does to smell like that.

this is probably the case. I start to smell earlier since I've started working out. I used to be able to go over a day without showering- disgusting I know. but now I start stinking before 24 hours is up.
