I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Also, don't forget that in less multicultural countries the acceptable levels of racism are higher than in the US.Graffiti in a public toilet

Do you foresee US/Russian relations getting better or worse in the future, and why?I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Is there any such thing as Russian beer, or is Vodka really the only spirit over there?"The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Seriously.

Would you describe Russia as a whole to be an unsophisticated country?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

How does the communist party fare in elections, and how is it regarded currently by the population?
How do most people regard the USSR?
Do people worry that Putin is taking too much power?
How do people regard Obama?Captain of Team Apolyton - ISDG 2012

A lot of people would prefer to go back to the USSR.
As long as Putin manages to keep the economy afloat, people won't mind him usurping the power.
Obama is generally well-regarded. Some people do of course call him a monkey, but educated people don't.Graffiti in a public toilet
