I remember gambling in Vegas one time when a flash flood hit from the north. I had been up all night and as morning came I got up from the table and walked around the casino. From what I understand, everyone more than 5 miles from the Thames has "massacred" the language one way or another. If you didn't like it you shoulda kept dem imperialistic wooden kegs wit' sails at home.
