Something I don't understand: if the banking system is crumbling, and average citizen is deep in debt, where do they find the lenders for such astronomical amounts?

I'm just a simple minded fool, but would it not be better to just give the money to the people and let them spend the money to stinmulate the economy?

Well, technically the US Dollar is the world's fundamental currency, so theoretically they can just keep printing money if they wanted to... Someone would buy it.

          At least right now.

More realistically we could just make it a legal requirement that banks who accept bailouts must lend a certain percentage of the bailout money the way the British have. Or failing actually inject capital in exchange for preferred shares so that when the people sell their stock they get top dollar and the shareholders of banks which need bailouts are punished most severely for their mismanagement.

i would not hold my country as an example of how to deal with the banking crisis...

Nobody said the OT should censor content. However, if I made a bunch of threads on the same exact topic but didn't hide it by using different titles, all but one would be locked, as they should be.

Anyway you really should lay off the Alex Jones elixir. It rots the brain.

You'd only get about $3000, which you would probably end up using to fly overseas on some foreign airline!
