  • Hell has frozen over

The Potomac River is a sheet of ice.

    Let's have an inaugural.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I take it that Al Gore is in town for the inaugural?

We need a before and after shot.

Zkrib, Aeson and myself were discussing that we are about as far from Washington DC and all the hubbub as one can be and still be north of the equator.

I figure its going to be a big selling point for getting people to come visit.

...and the water isn't walkable. Well, certainly not by this crowd.

That's 'cause you're Southern, unlike DC, which is Yankee.
