Is anyone here a good 3D artist and would like to make some scenes and models for use in a computer game? I'm toying around with a game engine in my free time and I've zero artistic ability.
The setting is dark sci-fi. Think Blade Runner-esque. Since this is a technology project to start with, there's going to be a lot of development and experimentation involved so the timeline isn't that important. I'm playing with essentially placeholder art as I tweak and figure out stuff, and start development.
Most 3D studios should work, but check with me first so I can confirm it is compatible. 3ds Max would be preferable but not required.
I basically am looking for two things: the first is a model of a dark sci-fi mercenary type character. The second is a scene/tiny level, which takes place on a distant planet. The atmosphere needs to be dark, again think Blade Runner, and it'll be a city street outside of a bar. Once it's in the game-engine I plan to add rain, puddles, and dynamic lighting effects (eg, flickering signs and lights) mostly as a tech proof of concept more than anything else.
Anyone interested?
