The Chinese are getting strange about the sex business.
2 years ago, when I first went there, you could to to areas and pick out girls through the windows of the "shops." Last year the "shops" had to have the windows covered. This year the shops are gone, at least from that area, my guide told me they moved. I never used them, they just happened to be 2 blocks away from where my guide lived, and he was sure to ask me each time I visited if I needed a girl. Each time I told him that I am married and don't do that kind of stuff.
OTOH, the KTV lives. You cannot walk around a corner without seeing a KTV in China. A KTV (and most actually use these letters for their signage) is a karaoke room (a private room in a club) that comes with girls (you get to pick them). It is not cheap, and I did not have to pay for it, but the girls will do just about anything, in my case they only got naked and there was fondling allowed, then things got a little more raunchy and I was whisked out of there (I suspect the bill was about to get out of hand
). I was also seriously hammered.
