I will say that British TV is much more liberal about nudity and sexual themes than US TV is.

Yes, I couldn't really see the fuss about part of Janet Jackson's breast being revealed- it's not like you could even see her nipple.

If she'd revealed the breast to be an alien life-form or a small dog or pig breastfeeding (like in New Guinea) then I'd have understood....


The moustachioed chap in the Stella Artois advertisement went on to appear in a cracking French film about the French Foreign Legion in Djibouti, called 'Beau Travail'- rather like a French 'Billy Budd'.


I thoroughly enjoyed watching 'The Banana Splits' and 'The Tomfoolery Show' when I was young, and a cartoon series called, I think, 'Shazam', about a genie who comes from a ring (?) found in Maine, on the shore...
