    download "Download Helper"
    It will aloow all video to be downloaded

        And then you need FLV extractor to convert the youtube vids into mp3 or avi. Unfortunately it creates an mp3 and avi separately instead of making an avi with integrated sound. Haven't found a program that can combine them yet...

            FLV converter will change them to mpegs or AVI. AVIs have no sound, but MPEGS do.

                  is there any program to download videos which aren't from youtube?

                  i'm trying to dl (i presume) windows media player -based videos from finnish broadcasting corporation, but none of the programs recommended so far work

                    On Linux you can usually use "mplayer -dumpstream" to save streaming video of all kinds.

                          I would assume he doesn't have Linux, he didn't mention it.
