Perhaps not the biggest news of the year, but I figured that if I didn't post this, I'd have to hand in my geek card.

    RIP Majel

IIRC -- the only actor who appeared in all manifestations of Star Trek. From the first pilot with Captain Pike, to shows where she was just the computer's voice. She played Deanna Troy's mother, among other roles. She was Ms. Star Trek.

I'd say she was Mrs. Star Trek, given her relationship with Gene...

She was....quite a feat, actually, considering the fact that Gene died in 1991, and that it was Paramount Pictures and not Gene's company that had control of the franchise after that.

All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Just how I'd want to be remembered. Uh, no; but I agree.
