Seriously, can we ban AAHZ? I don't think he's ever posted something relevant in a thread.
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "
You misunderstand my objection. It is not that people cite works they oughtn't (though they often cite inferior works that appear in larger journals or from larger labs over superior works that did not make their way up the ladder, but that is not relevant to my point). It is that people forgo doing important science because it is not 'sexy' right now and thus will not be cited by numerous others. When gaining citations is the sole point of science, we have a problem...
We attempt to demonstrate that the multiple-equilibrium model proposed by snoopy369 (2008) is unsustainable under reasonable assumptions. The recent interest in mathematical "impact factor" formulas for the determination of the merit of Apolyton posters (KH (2008), Felch (2008)) is indicative of significant deficiencies in the current postcount system (KH (2008)). This problem requires further study.
Sounds reasonable. I'm also assuming that these ranking are limited, so that a poster can only "give a point" once per day, or perhaps based on some function of their own impact factor.
In response to Felch's work on impact factors (2008) we demonstrate that the proposed system may be desirable, but only under the assumption that the postulated rating function r(I) is a monotonic function of the impact factor and is piecewise continuous across the entire domain of posters.
Thank you for demonstrating fully how inappropriate the current system is, rah. Such succinct and on-point arguments are sorely lacking right now.
Glad to help. It was easier to type them "bite me". (serious on-point arguement)
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
RIP Tony Bogey & Baron O
Though further demonstrations of the necessity of an impact factor are technically unnecessary given previous work (KH(2008), Felch(2008), rah(2008)) the recent paper by rah(2008) provides an interesting alternate formulation of the argument. Research into the area based on this may be fruitful.
