Seriously I would describe it as State Capitalism as opposed to free market capitalism. And worse, it is BAD, incompetently regulated State Capitalism.

Even when regulation was minimal, you didn't see Ponzi schemes of the degree you see nowadays in Venezuela, Romania, etc.
