    • When I have more time (probably not until after work), I will go back to Google maps and locate a Ruby Tuesday location not far from a metro station then.

          • I hope so. Otherwise, we have wasted time working on a location.

            • You're in a major city that has tons of interesting restaurants. Why on Earth would you go to a chain restaurant?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

              • I don't know.

The problem is that he's only lived in DC for a couple of months, and I'm not particularly familiar with the city (only go in on day trips)

                    MrFun

                    Blaupanzer
                    OzzyKP (?)
                    Felch
                    Lonestar

If you want DanS, you can take my number and then if your party is over late and you want to possibly come join us you can.

If we decide on a place, I will see about reserving a table early next week. I remember that OzzyKP likes cheap places so we should try to make it so that food can be had for under 15$. (I know this isn't cheap, so under 10$ would be preferred)

I haven't famliarized myself with every single non-chain restaurant in the two months I've been here yet.

                        • Pre-drinking, the idea will be being able to make noise so we all can talk to each other. The chains tolerate that more than most. Other cheap places are ethnic : Thai, Afghani, Ethiopian, Peruvian. REAL restaurants expect a modicum of decorum and charge a lot.

Dan S jumps in to say why a chain. Did he make any suggestions? What's up with that?

                          This all sounds fun.

                          • That's right. DanS pissed on the whole chain restaurant idea but then didn't provide any suggestions for non-chain restaurants.

Timex - got any ideas for a non-chain restaurant?
