Just saw some pictures of the scene, mid-stampede. It only reinforces my initial impression: shocked, I am not.

It didn't happen in Texas, eyes.

I could also have been referring to the obvious lack of any security or crowd control measures that any idiot who runs a store would have put in place.

          Hmmmm.

David, forget it. People and their preconceived opinions. This could happen anywhere, and they'd say "Yeah well, in Texas it would have been worse". Idiots.
It's Texas vs. The World, David. That's why I was so hard on you when you were a boy. Now, you know.

Actually, I was hoping to get called a racist. That's why my post was a bit ambiguous.

My actual intentions shall remain unclear

As disgusted as I am with the shoppers who trampled a worker to death, I am more disgusted with Walmart for creating the situation in the first place and not having means of dealing with it.

One would think that the elegance of Walmart would suffice.

Perhaps they should have grabbed a few shotguns off the rack?

A lot of Walmarts don't sell guns. Mine only has an ammo section, and there's never anybody there to unlock it when I'm around. I was there yesterday for twenty minutes and talked to a couple different people before someone finally told me that the guy with the key was on break for another 15 minutes.

I just said **** it, and left.
