The "artistic" side of mens floor excercise is pathetic. I hate that bull****. OTOH "mens" gymnastics never slid down the slippery slope toward "boys" gymnastics. "Womens" gymnastics has become "teen" gymnastics and was "pedophile girl" gymnastics until someone at the IOC said enough is enough and set an age limit (which the chinese clearly cheated so that they could have the best tumblers - because length effectively limits the rotational speed - which I know you know).

Svetlana Khorkhina is an example of a womens gymnast who wasnt quite as good a tumbler as some of the midgets but was still a great champion.

You prove my point, Produnova was a great tumbler who didnt win gold at high level while Khorkina was a great gymnast who dominated womens gymnastics for a decade.

I had to look up who she was. Again, a great tumbler while pre-pubescent but who's career took a nose dive when trying to compete as a "senior" (ie over 16) and now too "big" to pull off the tumbling.
