Since my mom is a headhunter, I take offense to this thread.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

How large is her collection, and what drying/curing method does she use?
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

I would also like to point out that she complains about the idiocy of some of her clients the same as you guys complain about headhunters.

That's SOP for headhunters. If you're not worthy enough to get the job, you're not worthy of a second more of their time.

Headhunters...hmmhhh... To me, free underwear pushers are far more interesting. I just got a call yesterday from a woman trying to give me free underwear. It's not the first time.

So, I just said to her, a woman obviously past her 40s, that I don't wear underwear. She said, well, it's getting cold, isn't it? I said yes, but I refuse to wear underwear, I go commando at all times. She was hanging tough though, saying what about Christmas, you can give them to your male friends as a gift, they're free you know. I said that IMO it's a bit kinky to give underware to male friends. But they're free she insisted.

Soon, I realized we're actually debating, that she wants me to give underwear as a present to my friends. Suddenly I was a bit turned on. So we continued. But that, my friends, is another story.

Headhunters who get you a better job.

Headhunters who are so ashamed of themselves that they lie about their first names and the companies they work for.

The first and last time I actually used a headhunter.

Looking for an IT management postition.

The number 1 headhunter company in the area got my name and promised me they could find me a job for 6 digits so despite all my reservations about headhunters I went in for the screening interview. The next day the called back really excited and asked me to come in, where they promptly offered me a job as an IT HEADHUNTER. Morons.
