Indeed, but my point was that Bush seems to be going above and beyond what has been considered to be necessary. No other President, from what I've read, briefed a nominee from the other party on national security issues prior to the election.

Not "every" one; the Truman-Eisenhower transition was famously ice-cold, and Carter-Reagan was to a lesser extent. I can't imagine Adams-Jefferson was much of a love-in either. But generally, yes.

Maybe Bush is demostrating what a tough job being the pres is, and this way justifying his constant apparent screw-ups (´apparent´, because i believe, he did achieve exactly what he wanted to), by showing off all of his hands helping the new one getting into the job, regardless of any rivalry, for the greater good of the nation.

Like when a failing parent passes his screwed up kid to the Nanny, he/she gives him/her advise about the kid, to his/her best knowledge, showing that at least he/she cares for the kid.

I'm pretty sure the part of whitetrash that implies lower class is the "trash" part, not the "white" part.

I'm positive most people would agree.

But do you agree -- you are clearly not "most people".

As transitions go, this one has been pretty classy so far. Bush didn't have to be laid back, he could have gone all formal and no one would have called him out on it. However, he himself has been nice and has had his people cooperate. At least that's how it looks from the outside, which all most of us will ever know about it.

He's prolly trying to make up for what Clinton did to him during the transition when he took the reins of power.

It literally means worthless or disreputable person. White trash means something more specific and Che's correction is accurate.

Let's read che's correction, shall we?

Bush, being from the ruling class, hardly qualifies as trash.

And yet you are using that to change it to "Texas trash"? Seriously?
