To be fair, the panhandle of Alaska is also gorgeous; the most natually beautiful place I've ever seen, actually. And also quite temperate; it was sunny and high 70s/low 80s when I was there. Juneau and Sitka, in particular, are positively breathtaking.

      Anchorage, however, is a ****hole.

The average temperatures in Calgary are almost identical to the average temperatures in Anchorage.

        and rich as sin

Because you have to be paid well to live there.

        These two contradict each other.

You've clearly never been to Anchorage.

If by "almost identical" you mean "consistently warmer"...

Not true. Ask the people in Edmonton.

          These two contradict each other.
Just because the sport is too complex for your feeble American mind, and too physical for your feminine American body doesn't give you the right to diss the sport.

I didn't say Anchorage was beautiful. The Alaskan coastline is one of the most gorgeous things I've ever seen.

            Check wiki.

So, paid to live there - or - a dumb hick?

            Still sounding like Alaska.

It's nice, but you need to see more.

              Check wiki.
              I did.

              Also check out snowfall, etc.

You just described 100% of the USA.

              Case in point.
Is that the best you can do?

                More like 70-80%.

Is that the best you can do?

                    And Zylka.

We're not crazy, we're just smarter than Americans. You perceive that as crazy.

I think that would be the best thing that could possibly happen to America right now.

Really? You still value the alliance with the RR loonbats?

If they did split off, perhaps a centrist party based on social liberalism and economic conservatism could arise, leaving the hardcore lefties to be Greens or Socialists.

                        I can dream, right?

As it happens, I just started a thread on that general subject ("what's next for the GOP?"). But I don't know that a splinter party would be a good thing. The economic conservatives may have been keeping their nuttiness in check; alone and frustrated, they could very well turn to terrorism. More than they already have, I mean.

I'm not saying you're dumb cuz you're not an extremist. I said it because, like BK, you let your ideology, not the facts, determine what you believe is true. You don't disagree with the articles Asher is posting because you have contrary facts, you just think they're too partisan, so they must not be true.

And you aren't even consistent. You just flip flop back and forth. Lancer is consistent, consistently wrong, but consistent. Your flip flops don't even make sense, and that's why you're in the same category as BK.

Are you suggesting BK flip-flops? That's one thing you can't accuse him of. Maybe of constantly rewording what he says to try and avoid pwnage, but hardly true inconsistency.

Also, if I'm reading MrFun correctly, he's saying that the OP seems too ludicrous to be true, and therefore it's a fabrication. Not "too partisan," too improbably silly. I beg to differ on that count, but he could have a point.

It would be nigh on impossible for the Republicans to win in the next 20 years (at least) if the RR loonies took off. To some (ie, Democrats) that may be good.

If they did split off, perhaps a centrist party based on social liberalism and economic conservatism could arise, leaving the hardcore lefties to be Greens or Socialists.

And would keep losing to the more left wing Democrats which would be whole while the Right is divided amongst 2 or 3 parties.
