Neo cons orignally may have started out as a foreign policy group however the same people who think that invading Iraq was the best idea ever also tend to be those who think global warming has nothing to do with man. However in the spirit of compromise Ill chage it to right wing nut job, is that better.
The book airframe was in part about foregin policy, it was all about dodgy foreigners and their undercutting the poor old US of ASpace is big. Eh, debatable. It's been a while, but I read it as being primarily a criticism of media sensationalism and low standards of accountability among the press, along with an insight into the aeronautics industry. Sure, the foreign consortium fights dirty, but foreigners have been sabotaging good 'murican companies in Crichtonland since Congo in 1980 or thereabouts.
