I don't like it when my guy loses but there is an upside. Since I'm far from wealthy Obama can start sending me some of the filthy rich folks filth, I don't mind. Spread the wealth!

Honestly Obama's "redistribution of wealth" is just really just enlarging the earned income tax credit which isn't really a credit and is in fact a cash payment to the poor/middle class. As for the tax increases they will only go back to the Clinton levels which were already pretty low. I just hope they don't go hog wild and actually come up with a plan to get the budget balanced. We really, really, really need to stop spending WAAAAAAYYYYY beyond our means.
I say kill all subsidies (farm or what not), end all tax loop holes, slash the military toys budget, end the war in Iraq, and then see how close that gets us to closing the half trillion per year deficit.
My friends, you know, this whole redistribution thing never made much sense.
I assume the peeps with high incomes still get a benefit from Obama's tax cut with respect to the income bracket that comes within it though right?
I mean if you earn 300k, you still get the lower tax rate for that first X portion?

Why would you think that?

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
I thought so. There's something pretty bogus about arguing that a tax cut for the middle class, is not also a tax cut for the upper middle class at the same time. Then again probably the upper middle class would probably be somewhat behind overall regardless (depending on how much money they made).

Obama said he would restore the tax cuts that Bush enacted, which mostly cut taxes for those making over 250K. Those folks will therefore go back to paying more than they have for the last 8 years. For the rest of us we'll get a little more back as we ended up paying more. [Joe the Plumber probably made up the redistribution part, since nobody else heard it.] All Government programs paid for by taxes redistribute money. That's what Governments do. That's why we need as little Government as possible and a balanced budget. Although I voted for Obama, I suspect he won't agree with me on that.
