I think they got new writers or something. The shows have been pretty stupid the last few years.

About freaking time. The show was mildly entertaining at times but it was right wing conservative propoganda, they presented issues in an incredibly one sides manner. They would condem all social change and new technology.

For a while they trashed Walmart pretty hard, till Walmart started to buy more ad space on fox stations, then Walmart became their best friend and Hank, who had previously trashed it, got a job there and said hwo much he loves Walmart!

Tonights episode was about how people who use the internet and social networking sites are all insane. I in fact do not use myspace, facebook etc, but even I was offended by the message of the episode which was: Fear change, fear technology.

King of the Hill was good. Maybe more funny to foreigners than it was to locals?

King of the Hill's humor was along the lines of Seinfeld; It was a good show, animations were also very well done. Of course, I only saw perhaps the first 3 seasons, after that I never got the chance to watch. I should pick it up again.

Uh, couldn't that just as easily be interpreted as a subtle satire of the main characters' backwardness? In that sense I viewed it as anything but right-wing.

It was definitely Texan propaganda, but it made fun of the extremism.

It only is if that's what you're actively looking for going in.

No. If you're naive than you might come away from it with the idea that Hank Hill's Texanish POV is superior.

Well who cares if it is right wing propaganda? How many shows out there are complete 100% liberal propaganda? The liberal agenda is being flung at you from every direction & most people have no clue what they are watching is slowly turning them into a liberal. I'm glad it's off the air because it blows & no other reason.

Or I'd come away with it with the idea that Hank and especially his friends are a bunch of backward fools worthy of ridicule. The fact that he has a certain POV says nothing about whether it's superior. Either you agree with it or you don't, but that says more about the viewer than the show.

Caught some KotH during Pats/Colts commercial breaks. The episode was about blogging and women in the workplace - apparently women are crazy *****es who demand more pay but don't actually contribute to the job because they spend too much time gossiping online.

                            Glad that show's ending.

Meanwhile, here's how Family Guy talked about women.
