    The short/long strategy I'd come up with was based on the fact that the guy wasn't buying into the state-level races, only the headline number. At one point Obama wins Ohio was trading higher than Obama wins election.

      I didn't say he was the only person to notice it, but that was where people read about it first. And he provided a good explanation of what he thought the person was doing and why.

        it's just weird how people are willing to throw money at very unfavourable odds in order to alter their perception of reality

          Media has taken to publishing Intrade numbers, so it may not be a total waste of money.

            Ok, ok.

            But he may have been hoping for something else. If McCain supporters saw the Intrade numbers go up, it would boost their morale, and the media would pick up on it and say something about momentum, etc.

            Of course, if he really believed this would happen, then it just goes to show there are too many stupid rich people.
