Washington DC is masculinity challenged. Everyone compensates for their impulse to dress in womens' clothes by shooting up the place.

You should come up to visit me. We'll play a game. It's called "Escape from West Baltimore".

I'd watch a DVD of that, whether it devolved into pron or a Kurt Russell movie.

I'm trying to decide which is worse, actually.

Washington's Metro is like the most safe-assed, sterile metro system in the entire country.

I've been to the National Mall three or four times already. There's so many places in that area to see and they're all conveniently within walking distance from one another.

I take the metro to National Mall, and there I am - in the middle of places to go, and things to do. I love the Reflecting Pool area - beautiful park! And of course, I saw the memorial of the only Republican I admire - the Abraham Lincoln Memorial. I want to visit that at night sometime, when there's no crowd of loud, photo-snapping tourists.

My first time I went to National Mall, I walked from Lincoln Memorial to the White House.

Earlier in my move out to here I may have been too paranoid about safety.

But on other hand, sometimes it makes you pause. About four blocks or so from the Metropolitan Community Church I go to in Washington DC, a gay man was murdered about two weeks before I moved out here.

Yeah, you miss the one where I chickened out and wet my pants (I didn't show up, but I was considerate enough to call Dan to let him know).

I guess I better brace myself then.
