  • Finnish municipal elections - the best elections

Because among the candidates are http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oVqK6LWJzc and http://www.hel-looks.com/?p=image/ar...0/20060615_03/

(the former is Kari Tykkylainen, True Finns, Pudasjarvi and the later is Vesa Kaakkuriniemi, Left Alliance, Jyvaskyla)

So who are Apolyton Finns going to vote for? I can't vote, being in America, but I'd probably vote for a Green Party candidate who I kinda know personally.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

I voted early for http://www.keski-filppula.fi/ because he was a nice teacher in lukio . So, yeah. Municipal politics. It's stuff.

no, the nearest consulate with voting would've been in Santa Clara

Hum, I'm tempted to vote for this one Socialist, only because she's hot. I wonder if there are election machines around for the province of Lappi?

As weird as those "candidates" are, it's doubtful that they eat c**k as much as the no-hopers standing in teh NZ election.

Eugene isn't a bad place though I haven't been there in a while (12 years). As I recall the population was tiny. Try getting a bus or train (hopefully they have AMTRAK service) and head north to Portland for a day or two. Portland is a great town to hang out in and have a beer.
