What should she say? How about something factually correct?

I dunno, maybe the correct, accurate answer?
A vice president gots a really great job 'cause no one knows what you do and you get paid well for doing it. And when people get mad at you for funneling money into your own business ventures instead of ventures that are good for the state you just tell 'em to call your press secretary and give them the number for that lady who tells you what time it is.

Well, it's clear that Vesayen's sin was not posting a link to Who's Nailin' Palin.

Could you imagine her as President convening a G8 conference? Can you imagine her at a table with Sarkozy, Merkel, Brown, Medvedev, Harper, Berlusconi, and Aso discussing the world's problems?

I had a brief moment of perfect poetic clarity where my feelings towards the woman were expressed in perfect verse upon the canvas of the internet!

              Oh well .

She was talking to a ****ing third grader; god forbid she give a simplified answer. Meanwhile, Joe Biden doesn't know how many letters there are in the word "jobs"...

Yes, well, it's established that Biden doesn't bide his time when it comes to composing his remarks, and we're all the poorer for it.

Biden's problem isn't that he doesn't "bide his time when composing remarks." His problem is that he's a dumbass.

No, she was talking to the media. An adult reporter was relaying a question posed by a third grader.

And yeah, that Biden slipup is clearly comparable to a VP nominee confusing the powers of the President of the Senate with that of the Majority Leader.

                        Yes, and?

I'm not exactly enthused with him, but at least he's not a heinous dumbass like Palin--and most of the time when he's wrong, he's only off by a few degrees, rather than by orders of magnitude like that vapid woman.

The problem is what she said, in no way, shape or form is anything the job the VP has.

Are you ****ting me? Biden was wrong about the initial decision to go into Iraq. He was wrong about the surge. He was wrong about wanting to partition Iraq. He even said...

"I'm groping here." Then he hits on an idea: America needs to show the Arab world that we're not bent on its destruction. "Seems to me this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran," Biden declares.

Biden is wrong all the time and not "by a few degrees." If anyone is a "heinous dumbass", it's Joe Biden.

geez, she aint that far off and it comes down to a matter of interpretation. The VP is the President of the Senate and presides over the body ("in charge"), and there aint nothing stopping a VP from being involved with the legislation process, they just cant vote unless there's a tie. Part of the VP's job title and description is found in art 1 sec 3 devoted to the Senate.

Being the President of the Senate is basically the opposite of being "in charge." It's a formal position dictated by the parliamentarian.
